About Ma Puddins in Rocky Mount
As educators, we provide an environment that is safe yet stimulating and a curriculum that challenges children through creativity, self-choice and learning through play. Based in Rocky Mount, we care for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old, and provide a range of age-appropriate resources and activities to encourage their development right up until they are ready to join school.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy focuses on helping children to develop a positive self-concept, building skills that will support them throughout their educational journey, and encouraging children to lead their own learning. By blending indoor and outdoor classrooms and environments in a home-away-from-home environment, we are able to create a space where children feel empowered and ready to learn.
Who We Are
At Ma Puddins, we decided to do things a bit differently. Our child care is a carefully designed space which fosters early learning in a fun and safe environment. It’s an opportunity for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old to explore the world around them and develop in a supportive and loving space.
We believe our innovative approach gives children a bright and positive start in life as we encourage both exploration and discovery as well as emotional intelligence and building friendships.

Our child care center offers:
- Large open playgrounds for the children to play in, giving them the opportunity to build their motor skills, enjoy the fresh air and participate in games and outdoor recreation.
- Our early focus on skill building which allows children to feel a sense of achievement and build the foundational building blocks needed to progress.
- An emphasis on beginner reading and writing skills in our Preschool classrooms to help encourage Kindergarten readiness.
- Out of School Care for children aged 5 to 12 years old, including Before and After School Care for children in the area
